Under the guidance of Pooja Ratna Charitable Trust’s patron, Seema Johri, and under the leadership of its founder, Vipin Payal, a free mega medical camp was organized in Valmiki Basti, located in the Feroz Shah Kotla Jangpura area of Delhi. Around 250 patients were examined, and free medicines were distributed to them. People were encouraged to stay health-conscious, with a special emphasis on cleanliness. Additionally, free tests for sugar, blood pressure, and other diseases were conducted at the camp.
Women members of the trust distributed sanitary napkins to all women and adolescent girls in the basti and encouraged them to remain aware of women’s health issues. Special awareness was raised about diseases such as fibroids, urinary tract infections (UTI), PCOD, and cervical cancer. Dr. Anuradha personally distributed medicines to all the patients.
Following this, around 200 needy individuals in Valmiki Basti received clothes, including children’s clothing, sarees, suits, tops, pants, and t-shirts for men.
In the same spirit, with the support of National Patron Seema Johri, approximately 150 young children were provided with notebooks, pencils, and erasers. The children were also educated on the importance of education in daily and practical life. Co-founder Seema Sharma stated that the primary mission of Pooja Ratna Charitable Trust is to reach the needy and provide them with the right guidance so that they can benefit from various government schemes. She further assured that the organization will continue working towards this goal in the future as well.
Founder Vipin Payal expressed his gratitude to all the doctors and social workers, saying that it was a joyous experience to conduct multiple activities in a single camp, including clothing distribution, sanitary pad distribution, medicine distribution, and the distribution of notebooks and pencils. He extended his heartfelt thanks to all those who contributed to making this initiative successful.
